OKX is a cryptocurrency centralized exchange (CEX) and wallet platform based in Seychelles, catering to a global clientele. The exchange provides a range of trading options, encompassing basic spot trading, simple options, as well as advanced derivatives like margin trading, futures, perpetual swaps, and options. The founders of OKX (formerly OKEx) are closely associated with OKCoin, a company owned by OK Group. OKX was established by Mingxing "Star" Xu in 2013 in China. Star Xu is a Chinese entrepreneur with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics from the University of Science and Technology Beijing. He currently serves as the CEO of OK Group. The present CEO of OKX is Jay Hao.

OKX was initially launched in 2017 and is headquartered in Seychelles.

While OKX extends its services to more than 200 countries, residents of the United States do not have access to the platform's offerings.
