ZEC, a native token of the Zcash network and a privacy-focused decentralized crypto asset, has surged to a new eight-year high, surpassing the $1,000 mark. The latest increase comes a week after Grayscale announced the launch of a Zcash exchange-traded product on NYSE Arca. According to data from CoinGecko, ZEC is up 20.8% over the last 24 hours. The asset has traded at $27.5 and $56.8, respectively, in the last few days. Its market cap of more than $16.905 billion and 24 hour trading volume of approximately $1.25 billion show increasing investor interest.
