The Zcash NU7 update will reduce the block time to 25 seconds. ZEC remaining in sprout addresses may need to be migrated before the beginning of November. Zcash developers have planned to activate the NU7 update for their privacy-focused blockchain at block number 3,543,405. This block is expected to be reached around November 5th. However, the chosen block height needs to be added to the technical documentation and incorporated into the node software.
