XRP perpetual contracts are now live for trading on the U.S.-regulated prediction market Kalshi, according to a Wednesday announcement.  The launch, which has also been confirmed by RippleX, introduces what Kalshi calls "American Perpetuals" to the U.S.-based traders.  Just over a week ago, on Friday, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) allowed Kalshi to offer the first-ever truly perpetual futures tied to the price of Bitcoin in the United States. This was a key decision that paved the way for similar launches.
