Worldcoin (WLD) is the native token of the World Network, a cryptocurrency and digital-identity protocol designed to create a globally scalable proof-of-personhood system. The project combines biometric verification through custom hardware (the Orb), a privacy-preserving identity credential (World ID), a consumer wallet and application platform (World App), a dedicated Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain (World Chain), and the WLD token to support human verification, digital payments, and ecosystem incentives.
