Virtuals Protocol is moving more than $700 million in VIRTUAL to Chainlink CCIP, making Chainlink’s cross-chain infrastructure the new security layer for one of crypto’s largest AI-agent ecosystems. The migration follows an extensive security review after the $292 million KelpDAO exploit, which pushed several protocols to rethink bridge and messaging assumptions. Virtuals framed the move around a clear standard for AI-agent infrastructure: “99% security is not enough.”
