US President Donald Trump announced that the American military conducted a targeted strike against an Iranian air defense system on Friday. This operation marks the first American attack on Iran since Republicans lost their congressional majority in the midterm elections, occurring as indirect negotiations between Washington and Tehran continue. The United States is also preparing for renewed discussions with Russia and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi on November 10 and 11.
