Sui has opened confidential transfers in public beta, giving token issuers, payment providers and treasury teams a way to keep balances and transfer amounts private while still preserving compliance and auditability. The beta is available on Devnet, with a Testnet launch targeted later this year. The design keeps sender and receiver information visible, but allows asset issuers to enable a confidential mode where transaction amounts and balances are not publicly exposed onchain.
