Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko has highlighted the activation of Alpenglow on devnet, marking another test of the network’s planned consensus upgrade. “You’re not ready for this,” he wrote in response to the rollout. According to Anza, its engineers activated Alpenglow on devnet following a successful switch on testnet. The upgrade replaces TowerBFT with Votor, changing how validators agree on blocks and confirm that transactions are final.
