Developers advancing the XRP Ledger (XRPL), the public blockchain supporting the XRP digital asset, have released the ninth version of the Smart Escrow Devnet, bringing programmable escrow features closer to launch. Mayukha Vadari, senior software engineer at RippleX, a division of Ripple that focuses on the development of XRPL infrastructure and tooling, described the release as a notable milestone in the path to production. Vadari, one of the authors behind the Smart Escrows proposal, explained that the team continues to review and test the Smart Escrow framework before rolling it out widely.
