Ripple (XRP) developers have shared a newly discovered security vulnerability that has existed on the network for years. Ripple’s development team, RippleX, announced that they have patched a critical security vulnerability in the XRP Ledger (XRPL) network that is believed to have existed for approximately 11 years and could have allowed attackers to mine billions of XRP without paying anything.
