Ripple has secured preliminary approval for a Crypto-Asset Service Provider license in Luxembourg, giving the payments company another regulatory step toward scaling crypto and payments services across the European Economic Area. The preliminary CASP approval came from Luxembourg’s Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier, the CSSF. Once the remaining conditions are met and full authorization is granted, Ripple can use Luxembourg as its MiCA base for regulated crypto-asset services across the EEA.
