The MATIC migration was completed two years ago, and a surprising number of cashiers have not caught up. Some list POL, some still say MATIC, and a few show both. Knowing which you are holding and which network you are sending on is most of what goes wrong here. MATIC became POL on 4 September 2024, at a 1:1 ratio. By September 2025 the migration was 99% complete, and POL is now the native gas and staking token on Polygon PoS.
