The incident, uncovered by Al Jazeera, involves the Medicare Statistics Reporting Service portal, managed by Services Australia. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese confirmed in June that the accessed data consisted of non-sensitive health statistics and internal file names, and that patient records were not compromised.
