OKB is the utility and ecosystem token associated with OKX, a global cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 platform. It began primarily as an exchange-benefits token, but its role expanded substantially after OKX consolidated its blockchain strategy around X Layer in 2025. The token should be distinguished from OKT, which was the native token of the former OKExChain network. OKT and OKB were separate assets until OKX began retiring OKTChain and consolidating its on-chain strategy around X Layer.
