MoneyGram has entered the stablecoin debit card market with a virtual Visa card built on the Stellar blockchain. According to the announcement, the pilot gives Colombian consumers a way to spend digital dollars through MoneyGram’s partnerships with Rain and Crossmint. Users can access the card inside the MoneyGram application once they complete identity verification. They can link it to Apple Pay or Google Wallet for contactless payments. Consequently, remittance recipients can spend digital funds without converting their balances through a separate cash withdrawal.
