Mexican police seize 300 GPUs in cartel-linked Puebla crypto mining raid
Mexican law enforcement officials recently uncovered a concealed cryptocurrency mining operation in the Sierra Norte mountains of Puebla, confiscating 300 graphics processing units (GPUs), 80 medium-voltage terminals, and eight satellite antennas. The remote site, located in Tlaola and far from main roads, was found to be drawing electricity illegally from a nearby hydroelectric dam, according to investigators. This marks the fourth such mining farm discovered in the region since early 2025.
