South Korean digital asset custodian BDACS is bringing the Korean won onto Injective through KRW1, a stablecoin backed by bank-held reserves. The initiative aims to introduce won-denominated transactions into blockchain markets that largely rely on US dollar stablecoins. According to Injective’s announcement on X, BDACS will issue KRW1 as part of the network’s expanding real-world asset ecosystem. A major Korean bank will hold the stablecoin’s reserves, providing a banking connection for the planned digital currency.
