Google has rolled out a new AI-powered design tool aimed squarely at the millions of people who edit and share images every day inside its productivity suite. The tool, called Google Pics, brings text-prompt image generation and precision editing straight into Google Pics Workspace apps, starting today with Docs and Slides. Built on Google’s Nano Banana image generation and editing model, the launch signals that Google wants Workspace users to stop bouncing between third-party design apps and Google’s own tools just to fix a slide graphic or tweak a marketing flyer.
