Ethereum and Solana staking reached record levels in the third quarter of 2026, but investors are earning lower yields as more tokens participate in securing both networks. According to Bitwise's Q3 staking research, Ethereum's average annualised staking yield declined to 2.63%, while Solana's gross staking yield fell to approximately 6%.
