Coinbase has appointed former xAI finance chief Anthony Armstrong to its board of directors and Audit and Compliance Committee. The nomination increases Coinbase’s board from nine members to 10 while strengthening its financial and compliance leadership. According to a regulatory filing, Armstrong joined the board on September 1 under Coinbase’s existing director compensation arrangements. Armstrong brings experience across investment banking, government operations, artificial intelligence, and social media businesses.
