Bitmart started closing its global trading platform on July 26 after reviewing operating conditions and strategy. The crypto exchange halted registrations, deposits, and new orders at 01:30 UTC. It scheduled all trading services to end on Aug. 26. The shutdown mattered because customers relied on Bitmart for centralized custody, trading, and investment products. The decision also removed much of the direct platform utility supporting the BMX token.
