On November 2, 2026, around $391,000 flowed out of wallets mostly attributed to the exchange, according to an analysis by the data service Bitquery. Founder Sheldon Xia confirmed the attack on X the following day and described the amount as small. As things stand, the incident does little to change the scale of your frozen BitMart balance, but it does change the situation: the exchange is in the middle of a restructuring, its security team is, in Xia's own words, badly understaffed, and the revised plan for creditors is due later in November.
