Bitcoin briefly broke above $83,000 for the first time in more than five days, raising hopes of a broader recovery. However, the rally failed to hold, leaving investors questioning whether the breakout has enough momentum to push prices higher. The move triggered significant liquidations among leveraged traders. More than $188 million in positions were liquidated across the crypto market over four hours, with short positions accounting for approximately 75% of the total. Yet Bitcoin’s subsequent retreat suggests that forcing bearish traders out of their positions may not be enough to sustain an upward move.
