Avalanche C-Chain has processed 393.7 million transactions so far in 2026, nearly seven times the same period last year, giving AVAX one of the cleaner onchain activity stories in a weak crypto market. The Avalanche C-Chain activity jump matters because it is not only a vanity metric. The C-Chain is Avalanche’s EVM-compatible smart contract layer, where DeFi apps, stablecoin transfers, NFT activity, gaming transactions and user-facing dApps settle. A nearly 7x increase in transaction count points to much heavier use of Avalanche’s main public liquidity hub at a time when many Layer-1 networks are fighting for real users, not just token momentum.
